Obituary Tribute to Rev. James Okechukwu Ogbonna (De J-Boy)
“A Life Well Lived, A Legacy That Lives On”
With hearts surrendered to the perfect will of Almighty God, we pay tribute to our beloved father, elder, and servant of God, Rev. James Okechukwu Ogbonna, fondly known as De J-Boy, who was called to eternal glory on Thursday, 16th July, 2026.
Rev. James Okechukwu Ogbonna was a man of faith, humility, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to God and humanity. He lived a life marked by compassion, integrity, and service, touching countless lives through his ministry, counsel, and exemplary character. As a devoted Christian leader, he stood firmly for truth, righteousness, and the advancement of God’s kingdom.
To his family, he was a loving father, mentor, and pillar of strength. To his community, he was a respected elder whose presence inspired peace, unity, and godly living. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart will remain deeply etched in the memories of all who knew him.
Though our hearts are deeply grieved by this painful loss, we take comfort in the assurance of God’s Word and the blessed hope we have in Christ. Indeed, Rev. James fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith, as declared in 2 Timothy 4:7.
As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate a remarkable life that was lived with purpose and dignity. His legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to speak for generations to come.

May the soul of Rev. James Okechukwu Ogbonna (De J-Boy) rest in perfect peace, and may God grant his family, friends, and all who mourn him the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss.
