With gratitude to Almighty God for a life well spent and complete submission to His divine will, the families of Iwu Ejeanwoko of Umuaro in Umunokwu Okwuator Autonomous Community, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State, announce the passing unto glory of their beloved father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, and community leader,
LATE CHIEF SIR THOMAS CHUKWUMA IWU (KSM) Ebubedike 1 of Okwuator Who peacefully departed this life at the age of 90 years.
Chief Sir Thomas Chukwuma Iwu was a distinguished Knight of St. Mulumba, a devoted Christian, respected traditional leader, loving family man, and a pillar of wisdom whose life was marked by faith, humility, service, and dedication to God and humanity. His legacy of integrity, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of his community will continue to inspire generations.
Burial Arrangements
Thursday, 18th June, 2026
Vigil Mass at 4:00 PM at St. Michael Parish, Okwuator.
Service of Songs at 6:00 PM at his compound.
Friday, 19th June, 2026
7:00 AM: Body departs Holy Rosary Funeral Home, Ogbor Nguru.
8:00 AM: Arrival at his maternal home, Oborji Ibeku Okwuator, for a brief stopover.
9:00 AM: Arrival at his residence to be received by Traditional Rulers, Chiefs, Elders, family members, and the entire community.
11:00 AM: Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Lagwa Okwuator, officiated by the Bishop and Clergy of the Mbaise Catholic Diocese.
2:00 PM: Interment at his compound.

Memorial Tribute
"A great tree has fallen, but the shade of his good works remains. Chief Sir Thomas Chukwuma Iwu lived with purpose, served with distinction, and departed with honor. Though he is no longer with us, his faith, wisdom, and noble legacy will continue to guide his family, community, and all whose lives he touched. May God grant him eternal rest and comfort all who mourn his passing.
