In loving memory of Israel Oha Ani
It is with gratitude to God for a life well spent that we celebrate the remarkable life of Israel Oha Ani of Umueze Awkunanaw in Nkanu Local Government Area. He was a devoted family man, an educator of great distinction, a community leader, and a faithful servant of God whose life was defined by integrity, wisdom, humility, and service to humanity.
Born in 1938, Late Israel Oha Ani dedicated the greater part of his life to the noble profession of teaching. Through years of selfless commitment to education, he rose to become a respected school headmaster, impacting countless students and shaping many destinies with discipline, knowledge, and moral instruction. His passion for justice and fairness continued even after retirement when he was appointed a judge at the Umueze Awkunanaw Customary Court, where he served honorably with wisdom and impartiality.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a devoted Christian and steadfast member of the Methodist Church Nigeria. As Lay Steward of Methodist Church Umueze Awkunanaw for many years, he served God and the church faithfully, becoming a pillar of spiritual guidance and leadership within the congregation and community.
Late Israel Oha Ani was widely known as a man of impeccable integrity and uprightness. He stood firmly for truth, justice, peace, and righteousness, earning the admiration and respect of all who encountered him. His life remains a shining example of honor, discipline, and godly character.
He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Comfort Ani and a loving father to eight wonderful children: Ethel Ifeoma Nsude, Odinkenma Peace Nnaji, Amoge Confidence Akujobi, Afamefuna Martins Ani, Uchenna Kingdom Ani, Izuchukwu Ani, Amarachukwu Ani, and Chidinma Ani. He was also a caring grandfather, mentor, and source of strength to many extended family members and friends.
Though his passing leaves a painful void in our hearts, we are comforted by the legacy of excellence, faith, and compassion he left behind. His memory will continue to inspire generations to come.
May the soul of Israel Oha Ani rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord. Amen.
